The Mayor’s Helping Hand (MHH) Fund aims to provide immediate financial assistance to eligible residents who face sudden exigencies.

Quantum of Assistance

Medical emergencies or housing-related crises (e.g. homelessness)

The recommended quantum of assistance is up to $1,000 per case. Assistance of up to $5,000 may be considered under exceptional circumstances, subject to assessment and approval on a case-by-case basis.

Residential fire resulting in severe damage or total loss of the home

Sudden Demise of Sole Breadwinner

Natural disasters

Special circumstances, including the care of family members with special needs

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a resident of the North East District.

  • Have at least one Singapore Citizen in the household.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants may apply through their nearest Community Club (CC) and submit the relevant supporting documents for assessment.
