North East Cancer Warrior Support Scheme (Colorectal Cancer)

In Singapore, Colorectal Cancer is the most common cancer among men and women. FIT (Faecal Immunochemical Test) screening has been proven effective in reducing deaths from Colorectal Cancer through early detection and treatment.
Building on the success of the North East Cancer Warrior Support Scheme for Breast Cancer, North East Community Development Council (CDC) and SingHealth are expanding their collaboration to include Colorectal Cancer, with a focus on ensuring patients have peace of mind whilst going through screening, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
The North East Cancer Warrior Support Scheme (Colorectal Cancer) will provide up to $15,000 in financial assistance, should eligible beneficiaries receive a positive FIT result (within a period of 12 months from the date of approval of scheme, and automatically extended to cover another 12 months should the beneficiary require further diagnosis and treatments).

Includes up to $10,000 to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses after national subsidies

A cash assistance of $5,000 will also be disbursed to support beneficiaries with their cost-of-living concerns
Eligibility:

Singapore Citizen residing in Tampines GRC or Tampines Changkat SMC

Household monthly income per person of $1,500 and below, or a Blue CHAS cardholder

50 years old and above

Due for colorectal cancer screening (no FIT done in past year/colonoscopy in past 10 years)

No pre-existing or previous colorectal cancer/abnormal colonoscopy findings in the past 10 years/abnormal FIT results in the past one year
Apply for the subsidised FIT Kit through the scheme:
